José Herring is an American composer of film, streaming media and television scores. He has worked in a number of genres, including Sci-Fi thriller, horror, comedy as well as documentaries.
Prolific on the independent film scene, he has scored over two dozen films, one TV series, 2 documentaries and a commercial spot that have played on NBC Universal Networks, HBO, PBS, National Geographic Television, as well as foreign and domestic distribution.
José studied music at The Julliard School of Music in New York City. “Because of my diverse background music to me is a well of unlimited possibilities. The trick is to find that combination of sounds and notes that is perfect for each project. If it works, do it.”
